On Thursday, October 10, 2024, TLWL, Inc. and Rita’s Helping Hand joined forces to nurture and uplift our homeless community in an impactful day of service. Setting out to make a difference, we brought our compassion and resources to the streets, reaching 100 homeless individuals with thoughtfully prepared care packs.
The packs were filled with essential items: socks, hair products, toothpaste, hand warmers, deodorant, shaving products, women’s underwear, lotion, dry goods, and bottled water (etc.). The day began at Atlanta City Baptist Rescue Mission in Atlanta, GA, and extended to Shady Grove Baptist Church in Marietta, GA, where our team set up a service station.
Adding to the experience, a volunteer hairstylist provided complimentary haircuts for men and women on-site at Shady Grove Church, a small gesture that brought smiles and boosted spirits. We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers, Monica Jones and Angela Pittman from Target, who worked tirelessly to assist in distribution, share kind words, and show support to all who came by.
