Transformational Living Wellness Lifestyle—TLWL, Inc. is honored to welcome and recognize one of our visionary artists, Alice Schneider, for generously donating her time, talent, and artistic vision to support “The Faces Behind the Mask: Bullying Masquerade Gala 2026.”
As part of our Wish & Win Gallery, Alice has created a powerful collection of bullying-awareness masks that capture the hidden emotional wounds often carried by those who experience bullying. Through her artistry, she gives voice to the silent struggles that so many endure behind the masks they wear each day.
Left-side: This featured piece, “Fractured Silence,” is a mixed-media creation crafted from air-dried clay, stoneware clay, artificial black greenery, and acrylic paint. The mask portrays the painful reality of appearing “okay” on the outside while quietly breaking within. Tears and fractures emerge across the lighter side of the mask, symbolizing the emotional cracks that form over time from repeated hurtful words and experiences. The darker side bears the weight of labels such as “hated,” “worthless,” and “loser”—words that often become internalized by victims of bullying, creating invisible wounds that can last a lifetime. This particular creation is her way of telling a story that isn’t always visible.
Right-side: Her second piece, “Shattered Silence,” presents a striking visual division from one side to the other, conveying the overwhelming impact bullying can have when left unaddressed. The lighter side features subtle crazing and delicate cracks beneath an otherwise calm exterior, representing individuals who appear composed and unaffected while silently carrying pain beneath the surface. As the mask transitions into darkness, it reflects the emotional toll of bullying and the struggle to maintain one’s sense of self when constantly subjected to negativity and rejection.
Through these remarkable creations, Alice Schneider challenges us to look beyond outward appearances and recognize the hidden battles that many face every day. Her work serves as a powerful reminder that bullying is more than words—it leaves lasting impressions on the heart, mind, and spirit.
Please join us in thanking Alice Schneider for sharing her talent and helping us raise awareness, understanding, and hope for this year’s mission to expose the many faces of bullying.
