Temporary Shelter Openings Due to Hurricane Helene Response to Hurricane Helene, we would like to inform the Atlanta CoC of temporary shelters opening to provide refuge for community members affected by the severe weather. We will continue to monitor the weather and communicate any updates via the Partners for HOME newsletter and on social media. Please stay tuned for any changes or additional information.
The Salvation Army Red Shield Services

Operating a “Severe Weather” shelter on a first-come, first-served basis from 9 p.m. Thursday, September 26 to 8 a.m. Friday, September 27.
Available Spaces (cots):
- Men: 10
- Women: 5
- Families: 10 (up to 2 families)

Opening their Engagement Center for unhoused individuals on Thursday, September 25 at 6 p.m. until Friday, September 26 at 9 a.m.
